Excitement Builds For 66th Philly Show
The excitement is mounting for the April 22 & 23 Philly Non-Sports Card Show being held in Allentown, PA at the Merchants Square Mall, 1901 S. 12th Street. What is so special about this show? The theme is Garbage Pail Kids and Wacky Packages.
Six outstanding artists who work on the two Topps’ licenses will be there and are coming from various parts of the country. They are: Neil Camera, Smokin’ Joe, Layron DeJarnette, Joe Simko, Jeff Zapata and Chad Scheres. They have produced a 9-card promo set being sold only at the event, with no pre or post sales. The cost is $25. There will be also be free promos with paid admissions. The cost for the show is just $8 for one day and $14 for two days. On Sunday, there will be a free promo card by Tom Bunk and 50 Garbage Pail Kids Puketacular comic books, courtesy of IDW, will be awarded to lucky Philly Show attendees.
On Saturday night, there will be a dinner at the Airport Hilton Garden Inn (our host hotel) and it is limited to only 56 people. The cost is $35 pp and the artists will all be there. There will be a special promo by George Wright and prizes will include autographed sets of 9-card event only promo set. Besides the show theme products, there will be major non-sport card dealers selling non-sport cards from the late 1800s through what was printed yesterday. This is an event not to be missed!
